I don’t know about you, but I use the notes app on my iPhone all the time. It’s one of my personal favorites among all of my applications! I like to make checklists and reminders to keep track of my things to do.
Whenever I think of new ideas, I instantly go and write them in my Notes app for me to remember later.
Because of this, I know how bad it is to accidentally delete the app, especially for other iPhone users that heavily rely on the Notes app.
However, there’s no reason to panic! Today I’m providing a step-by-step guide on how to restore an accidentally deleted Notes app on the iPhone!
The methods I’m going to share are very simple and easy to do. Let’s start!
How To Recover Accidentally Deleted Notes App on iPhone
Reinstall Notes App From The App Store
Before reinstalling, you have to make sure you really did accidentally delete the Notes app. It sounds silly, but sometimes it could have just moved to a new location on your home screen.
Do a Spotlight search by swiping down on the middle of your iPhone screen and search for “Notes”.
If the application does not appear in the search results, then it means that the Notes app got deleted.
The easiest way to restore the Notes app is to go to the App Store and reinstall it. Tap the Cloud icon to re-download the app.
Once you’ve reinstalled the Notes app, it will automatically direct you to iCloud Settings.
Turn on Notes in order for your future notes to save on iCloud. Doing this also recovers your previous iCloud notes that were saved.
This method only works for notes that were saved in iCloud.
How To Restore Notes That Weren’t Saved in iCloud
This second method enables you to restore the notes that you saved in your other e-mail accounts.
To start, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts. In here, you will see a list of your registered e-mail accounts.
Select one of these accounts that you’ve saved notes in.
Turn on the ‘Notes’ in order to recover your notes from before.
Restore Deleted Notes
There is also another method that I want to share. This method allows you to recover the notes that you previously deleted on your iPhone.
Just like Photos and Videos, deleted notes are placed in a ‘Recently Deleted’ folder for 30 days until they are permanently deleted from your iPhone.
Here is how to recover these deleted notes:
Go to the Notes app and Tap the ‘Recently Deleted’ selection.
Next, you will see a list of your recently deleted notes in the past <30 days. Tap the Edit button at the upper right-hand corner.
Select the notes that you want to recover and then tap the Move To… button on the lower left-hand corner of your screen.
After doing this, select the folder where you want to move your recently deleted notes.
Accidentally Deleted Notes App on iPhone? No Need To Panic!
The Notes app is indeed one of the precious creations Apple has ever created, so there is no way that it will get deleted forever!
With these 3 methods, you can recover not only the Notes app itself but also the notes that you made.
Do you use your Notes app frequently? Which of these methods did you find most useful for you?
