What Is The iPhone Live Feature?
The live feature lets you have a lock screen wallpaper that moves when you press it. But just to be clear, it is not a video, rather it is a picture. And that is what makes it mysteriously amazing.
Even better, you can also take live photos for yourself with your iPhone camera. Apple has really stepped up its game with their smartphones.
Now that you know what a live wallpaper looks like, let’s learn how to set it up on your iPhone!
How To Set Live Wallpaper On iPhone
There are two methods for setting live wallpapers on your iPhone.
Method 1: Through iPhone Settings
Because Apple has incorporated this feature, they have also added built-in live wallpapers for you to choose from. Mind you, these wallpapers are even more stunning as your lock screen wallpaper.
These live wallpapers vary from iPhone to iPhone. Check out the steps on how to set up these built-in wallpapers through iPhone settings.
Launch iPhone Settings and go to ‘Wallpaper’. Click on ‘Choose a New Wallpaper’ to see your phone’s available options for home and lock screen wallpapers.
You will then see choices of wallpapers and even have access to your own gallery of photos. Select built-in Live photos. You will then get a preview of what the wallpaper would look like on your lock screen.
Make sure that the ‘Live Photo’ option is selected so you get its full effect. Tap ‘Set’ and select ‘Set Lock Screen’.
And just like that, you have successfully set a live wallpaper to your lock screen. All you need to do now is firmly press on the wallpaper and it will do its magic.
Method 2: Through iPhone Photos
Because of the live feature, the iPhone has the ability to record a live photo as well. Make sure that the Live Camera is turned on before snapping a photo. After that, you can find these shots on your Photos gallery.
Launch Photos and select ‘Camera Roll’. Look for the live photos you just took so you can set it up as your lock screen wallpaper.
After selecting the live photo you wish to set as lock screen wallpaper, tap the options icon below. Select ‘Use as Wallpaper’.
The last part of this method should go seamlessly. Click on ‘Set’ and make sure that the photo is on ‘Live Photo’. Select ‘Set Lock Screen’ to set it as your wallpaper. Then, press firmly on the lock screen to animate the wallpaper.
