As I mentioned previously, there are 3 different methods on how to take a screenshot on iPhone X: Side + Volume Up Buttons, 3D Touch, and Assistive Touch.
I’m going to show you how to use all 3. Now let’s get started!
Method 1: Side + Volume Up Buttons
Step 1: Go to Desired Screen
For the first step, go to the screen that you want to take a screenshot of.
We’ll use a home screen as an example.
Step 2: Use the Side and Volume Up Buttons
Use the Side and Volume Up Buttons to take a screenshot.
The Side Button of your iPhone X is found at the right, while the Volume Up button is at the left.
As you may know, the Volume Up button replaces the Home button that was present in the older models of iPhones.
To take a screenshot in iPhone X, press the Side and Volume Up buttons at the same time.
If you did this correctly, the screen will appear to “flash” and the iPhone X screenshot preview will appear at the bottom left of the screen.
Method 2: Assistive Touch
If you’re having trouble with Method 1, try using the Assistive Touch feature.
Assistive Touch is among the many accessibility features of the iPhone X that were made to help individuals with motor skill impairments, but these accessibility features can also be useful for those of use who don’t have these impairments.
Using Assistive Touch, you can do various actions such as setting it as your Home button and pinching with your fingers to zoom. You can even create your own gestures!
