Another reason for this dilemma is that users may have setup something on their iPhone settings that’s using been eating up your battery.

Unfortunately, not many users are aware that this is the case that’s why they can resolve this right away.

One of the most effective ways to fix when iPhone battery drains during night is to turn off Wi-Fi connection. If you do not, notifications will just keep coming the whole night.

And when these notifications come in, it would light up your device and sound in the notification alert tone.

On another hand, have you setup automatic updates to your device because it is just too tiring to do it manually? Well, that would just come back to haunt you.

iPhone software and app updates would just automatically update as soon as there is one. You can definitely assure that that would just take up battery.

Now, that is just a lot of stuff going on, right? Because everything that the iPhone does, it uses battery to fire them up.

2. Turn Off Push Mail

Is your email set to Push notification? Then, you need to change that immediately if you want to save up some battery.

What this means is that it constantly connects with your email server and never stops asking for any new emails for you. It constantly bugs the server which would eventually eat up your battery.

So, to fix this problem change Push notification to Fetch. Many users can attest that they have saved a lot of battery after changing this setting.

Instead, your iPhone will just check for a new email every 15 minutes. But your iPhone will still check for new email everytime you open your Mail app.

To change setting, go to Passwords & Accounts on your iPhone settings. Then, click on Fetch New Data and toggle off Push button.

Turning on your notifications is very helpful so your iPhone can keep you informed of the important things that need tending to.

But when your iPhone keeps notifying you with unimportant stuff, you will just waste your battery life. The best thing to do is turn off the unnecessary notifications.

For example, a notification about a bonus item on a certain game is not particularly important, right?

Evaluate all your apps and choose the ones that are really important so you will avoid your iPhone battery life to drain too fast.

4. Turn Off Unnecessary Location Services

Everytime you post about your day on your social media accounts, your location automatically gets checked in. That is because your Location Services for these apps are turned on.

Many people debate on whether is it safe to always have it turned on. It is just like luring strangers to your exact location.

Regardless of what users believe, there is another reason why it is not always a good idea. For the iPhone to pick up your location, it uses internet connection.

The Location Services is what makes the iPhone a great device, but I do not recommend turning it on in all your apps and features.
