When the iPhone X came out in the market almost a year ago, many noticed that the phone doesn’t show the battery percentage. This may just be a minor detail, but people have relied to it for various reasons and we have always had that option on whether the battery percentage be displayed on our home screen or not.
Of course, Apple has considered the users who would want their battery percentage shown, that’s why there are easy ways on how to achieve them. With that, I will provide with methods on how to show your iPhone X battery percentage. I will be discussing with you four methods that are all simple and easy. Let’s begin!
Method 1: Swipe down the right-side of the control center
Step 1: Go to your desired screen.
You can either go to your lock screen or home screen.
Step 2: Swipe down the topmost right-side of the control center.
The image below will appear which will then display your battery percentage as well as other controls.
Method 2: Add as a widget
Step 1: Go to your home screen.
Step 2: Swipe right.
This will bring you to the current widgets
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom and click the “Edit” button.
This will bring you to the current widgets as well as the list of items that you can add to your list of widgets.
Step 3: Add the “Battery” to the list of current widgets.
Take note that the order of the items below is how they would appear in the widgets center so it is your discretion on what order you would like the “Battery” to appear.
Step 4: Click Done.
This will then bring you back to the current widgets. And now the battery percentage of your device as well as other Apple products that are connected to it will be on display.
Method 3: Ask Siri
Siri is one of the wonders ever made by Apple. It’s like having your own personal assistant with you wherever and whenever. There are two methods to activate Siri that I will gladly discuss below.
Long press the side button to activate Siri.
One way to activate Siri is by saying “Hey Siri”. How convenient is that? But before you can do that you need to set-up a few things first.
Go to Settings.
Select Siri and Search.
Enable Listen for “Hey Siri”
This won’t take you long, I promise. This is just to make sure that Siri will activate whenever you “Hey Siri.”
Method 4: Charge your iPhone X
Plug your iPhone X to your charger.
How do I show the battery percentage on the iPhone X?
Unfortunately, there is still no way for you to view your battery percentage without doing at least one of the methods above. But not to worry as each of the methods is relatively easy and hassle-free.
Why is the battery of my iPhone not charging?
To validate that your iPhone is really not charging is when the lightning bolt beside the battery is missing when you charge it. Below are the primary reasons why iPhone is not charging:
- Obstructions on your iPhone charging port
- Broken charging adapter
- Broken charging cord

How can I replace my iPhone battery?
In reality we can all replace our iPhone batteries by ourselves but it would be tricky. Chances are you might ruin your iPhone in the process. This is the kind of work needs an expert to be done or contact the Apple support for this issue.
The batteries on our iPhones play such a huge role. Whether the battery percentage is shown in screen or not, we take notice of it. People wonder whether or not Apple will incorporate this on their next release, or even just with a software update. Nonetheless, it doesn’t really affect the functionalities of the phone and how it has made our life convenient. It is still one of the coolest smartphones there is!
